The FIRST Thing You Should Do with Your PlayAUDIO1U!
Every time I get a brand new PlayAUDIO1U, there's one thing I do before I do anything else.
This may seem simple, but it’s incredibly important for getting started on the right foot with your new interface. In this article, I’ll walk you through that exact setting, explain why it matters, and give you a bonus tip to take things even further.
Step 1: Adjusting the Output Volume
When you first power up your PlayAUDIO1U, head straight to the front panel. Press the Audio button to access the audio settings.
By default, your outputs may be muted or set to a low level. Here’s how to change that:
Tap the Audio button.
Use the encoder knob to scroll to “All”.
Press the encoder to select “All”.
Turn the encoder to increase the volume to its maximum.
Press the encoder again to confirm the setting.
You now have full volume output across all outputs — great for ensuring you get the loudest, cleanest signal possible.
Step 2: Save Your Settings
Don’t forget this crucial step: Double-click the encoder to save the settings.
You'll see a “Saving Settings” message on the screen. This ensures that every time you power on your PlayAUDIO1U, it recalls your preferred volume level automatically.
Bonus Tip: Control via Software
While this hardware method is quick and effective, there’s an even easier way — especially when you're managing multiple settings.
We recommend downloading Auracle for X-Series — our free control software for iConnectivity interfaces.
With Auracle, you can:
Adjust output levels
Route audio and MIDI
Save and recall presets
Configure your setup with even more precision and flexibility
Wrap-Up
That’s it — short and sweet. This small but essential step ensures your PlayAUDIO1U is always ready to deliver full output when you need it.
